It is originally dessigned for civilian and industrial use, but then its usage expanded to other sectors as well including but not limited to 'Renfang' Civil Air Defense, Minfang' Civil Defense, the Chinese People's Armed Police Force, and the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The TF01 is very similar to the Soviet GP-5 gas mask, The eye pieces are made larger to allow better visibility.
